DAY 1
- Early morning departure and travel to the Gulf Shores Beach Retreat
- Dinner included at the retreat
- The Amazing Marine Environment Lecture
- Field Study Techniques – Endangered Species
- Loggerhead Crawl, Nest Demonstrations and Beach Walk
- Night Seine River Cruise in the Little Lagoon
DAY 2
- Maritime Forest Tour and discussion
- Dune Ecology/Bon Secour
- History of Fort Morgan and Tour
- Lunch break
- Marsh Ecology and exploration
- Bay and Tidal Pool Seining
- Dinner and Free time
DAY 3
- Trip Summary and Video
- Tour of Alligator Alley before returning home

They will explore tidal pools, marshes, lagoons, estuaries and The Gulf of Mexico. Science comes alive in their hands as they seine fish, shrimp, and crabs, explore the dunes and maritime forests, and identify sea turtle nests. Your students will be busy day and night with fantastic discoveries. This private facility has recreational options such as pools, sand volleyball, and basketball. Meals are also provided.
