The Sunshine State is the perfect destination to mix education and fun! Its rich history of European influence began with Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513. The 100’s of miles of coastline and sea life make it an ideal location to study the marine sciences. As home to the Kennedy Space Center, it is a hub of technology and discovery. With a variety of amusement, water and themed parks, Florida is always a favorite of students and teachers alike!

This overnight trip to Crystal River, Florida, provides an opportunity to study the West Indian Manatee, an endangered species. Students will also get an up close and personal experience with nature as they swim with these docile creatures.

Florida Aquarium

Students will go from tree level to sea level while being entertained and educated at The Florida Aquarium! With more than 20,000 animals including sharks, alligators, seahorses and more, they will be sure to have an amazing aquatic experience.

St. Augustine

Interactive programs and living history demonstrations teach students what life was like during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Learn how the Timucua Indians lived off the land at the Old Florida Museum, hear the story of Ponce de Leon and take a drink from the Fountain of Youth. Learn how the Spanish defended the town at Fort Castillo de San Marcos during a cannon firing.
