We Provide a Variety of Educational Programs for Student Travel.
We have many different travel opportunities to offer: history, geography,
natural science,
technology, the performing arts; and present
them in an entertaining and exciting way as only Kelly Tours
can! We have a wealth of educational travel ideas.
Whether
traveling to our nation's capital or to the Columbia Zoo, to
Europe or Civil War battlefields, we offer the knowledge and
expertise to provide an exciting learning opportunity for each
and every participant. Special seminars, guided tours, pre-
and post- study material combine with the sights and sounds
to enhance the student's classroom education.
Trips
described on this site have been selected due to their popularity
with the many teachers that have already experienced a Kelly
Tours educational tour with their students. The tours are suggested
itineraries and options are available. Of course, Kelly Tours
is not limited to the destinations described in this web site,
we are delighted to custom design an itinerary just for you
and your students.
Chaperones
Quality chaperones are key to any student program. We
include one free chaperone for every ten paid students. Chaperones'
overnight lodging will be arranged in double occupancy rooms. Additional
chaperones or parents are welcome to join the trip upon request.
They will be charged the same price as students for quad occupancy,
or a higher double occupancy rate if desired by the adults interested.

Charleston, South Carolina
A tour of Charleston
for the day includes a visit to the South Carolina Aquarium
and IMAX theatre, a narrated cruise and a visit to Fort
Sumter, site of the first shot of the
Civil War. Also available is a walking tour of the city's historic
district, a visit to a plantaion.
Columbia Zoo, Columbia, South Carolina
This day trip visits one of the best zoos in the area. More than
2,000 species of animals are kept in their natural environment
utilizing a cageless barrier system to allow premium observation
for students. Excellent hands-on programs are offered the the Zoo's
educational department.
St. Augustine, Florida
 America's "oldest city" is an excellent opportunity
to learn more about the Spanish exploration of the new world. A
day trip highlights the early Spanish settlement by including a
narrated tour of the city, a visit to Castillo San Marco (the old
fort) and a view of the renowned "Fountain of Youth".
We top off the day with the added excitement of stopping at the
Alligator Farm to see the reptile show and an alligator wrestling
performance.
Okefenokee Swamp, Georgia
 The
local Indians named the Okefenokee, which translates to "the
land of the trembling Earth". Our day trip travels to the
Waycross entrance of the Okefenokee Swamp Park for an in-depth
exporation of the swamp's ecosystem. Students will take a two-mile
boat cruise through the swamp, observe the indigenous wildlife,
and study the evolution of the swamp through: a short film, aquariums,
and dioramas. Pioneer Island displays the histroy of the swamp's
early settlers.
Ocmulgee Indian Mounds & Warner Robins Museum of Aviation,
Georgia
In 10,000 B.C., woodland hunters and gatherers inhabitated the
Macon Plateau. In 900 A.D., the Creek Indians and the Missippian
farmers began to migrate along the Ocmulgee river. Today, their
history is unveiled at the Ocmulgee National Monument where some
of the most impressive Indian mounds and archelogical remains are
preserved. A visit to the National Park Service Center will include
a park ranger talk about the museum, a short movie and a visit
to some of the mounds (an earth lodge, a temple mound and a burial
mound).
Atlanta, Georgia
 The "Capital of the South" is
a very popular destination with many opportunities to extend the
classroom. History, science,
and technology combined with multiculturalism provide limitless
points of interest to build a customized itinerary for your student
group.
